Group Actions Litigation Solicitor/CILEX Fellow

We are actively seeking skilled litigation solicitors/Cilex Fellow for a rewarding role in high-value, High Court actions. Join us to drive the progress of Group Litigation Actions involving client groups of up to 20,000 claimants.

 

Key Role:

As an experienced professional, you will actively manage, organise, and progress Group Litigation Actions, showcasing your litigation expertise and problem solving abilities.

 

Requirements:

 

Impressive Litigation Record:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in actively running a fully litigated high-value caseload.
  • Successfully handled cases through to final hearings, adhering to court deadlines.
  • Proficiently managed extensive documentary and witness evidence.
  • Executed procedural steps up to trial, followed by subsequent costs recovery measures.

 

Legal Expertise:

  • Profound understanding of Civil Procedure Rules.
  • Skilled in drafting court documents, evidence gathering, and disclosure.
  • Competent in interlocutory applications and statement drafting.
  • Sound grasp of CPR and claimants’ County and High Court requirements.
  • Well-versed in court procedures, Part 36 offers, Forms H & Q, settlement orders, and more.
  • Equipped for trial bundle preparation, briefing counsel, and costs negotiation.
  • Experience in pre-action protocols for civil litigation.
  • Familiarity with Conditional Fee and Damages Based Agreements.
  • Skilled in devising cost-maximising processes and tactics.

 

Leadership and Achievement:

  • Managed small teams of fee earners while meeting and exceeding targets.
  • Possessing a track record of success.
  • Ability to train junior staff and create training manuals.
  • Detail-oriented, adept at following processes and procedures.

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualified Solicitor/Cilex Fellow with a minimum of 6 years PQE.
  • Strong organisational and administrative aptitude.
  • Skilled in prioritisation and multitasking.
  • High professionalism and strong work ethic.
  • A critical thinker who excels in a team environment.
