Alice is an Associate in the London office of Johnson Law Group, specialising in claimant-side group litigation. She has experience working on some of the largest and most complex class actions before the English and Australian courts.
Alice has acted for claimants in large-scale environmental and product liability group claims. Her recent work includes the Municipio de Mariana and Ors v BHP Group Plc and BHP Group Ltd litigation, representing more than 620,000 claimants in what is the largest opt-in class action in English legal history. Alice also worked on the Pan-NOx Emissions Group Litigation against multiple automotive manufacturers, working primarily on two of the lead cases against Peugeot / Citroën DS and Ford.
Prior to relocating to London, Alice practised as an Associate in Sydney, Australia, where she acted for both commercial and government clients in litigious and non-litigious matters in State and Federal jurisdictions. During this time, she was part of the core legal team representing Mercedes-Benz Australia/Pacific Pty Ltd in AHG WA (2015) Pty Ltd v Mercedes-Benz Australia/Pacific Pty Ltd [2023] FCA 1022, successfully defending a $650 million claim brought by 38 of its Australian dealerships concerning the transition to an agency sales model.
Earlier in her career, Alice practised in government and administrative law and regularly appeared in the Federal Circuit Court of Australia and the Federal Court of Australia. She acted for the Minister for Immigration, Citizenship and Multicultural Affairs in judicial review proceedings and managed a substantial caseload of litigation matters.
