Week 3 (27–30 October)

Week 3 saw the start of the Court hearing expert evidence on Mercedes-Benz on behalf of the Claimants.

It began with the evidence and cross examination of the mechanical engineer expert, who gave evidence regarding Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) and how it affects Nox levels under certain factors. The expert also provided details on the testing regime and the test results from the sample vehicles.

Week 4 (3 -7 November)

Week 4 began with the continued cross examination of the Claimants’ mechanical engineering expert.

Following this, the Claimants’ software engineering expert will give evidence and will then be cross examined by Mercedes-Benz’s defence counsel.

The week will conclude with the Claimants’ counsel team cross-examining the Mercedes’ experts.
